A Satisfying Stroll

Had a satisfying wander round Balgavies Loch this afternoon, after work. Apart from both Ospreys showing off,swooping and gliding around their tree,there was loads of insects buzzing about with next to no wind. I saw a fair few (hundreds) of Azure Damselflies but also came across a few I'm not familiar with.

Good morning,

the first is a Soldier beetle, genus Cantharis. To level it down to the species I would need a better photo, less overexposed, bigger detailed and the photo maybe taken a bit more from above.

Thank-you Klaas and good morning.

Sorry I couldn't get close to the subject. Perhaps I should've taken the time to change lens. I'll be looking out for this one in future, it was quite eye catching.
