| | | Male Banded Demoiselle?? Hi all
Pretty sure this is what the title suggests - but would just like confirmation. (Sorry about the poor quality photo. )

I forgot to say that we (me and the Yeti ) saw quite a few of these while walking along the Medway Valley on BH Monday.
It was the first time I had ever seen them!
We actually rescued one that appeared to be stuck on the water. It was flapping about furiously and couldn't take off! Although it wasn't flapping when Bryan took this photo....
He lowered a small branch into the water and scooped it out. As it sat on my finger, I noticed that one of it's wings looked bent. After a few moments, it flew off (thankfully) and rested on the vegetation to dry off a bit.

| | | Re: Male Banded Demoiselle?? They are one of my favourite Damselflies. Always look a bit too exotic to be up here in Norfolk.
That male in the water does look like his been through the wars. |

Tracey | Sunny to the rescue again! That's why it sat on Sunny's finger after the rescue.
On my own I wouldn't have even seen it.
