Beetle ID help please
Can someone enlighten me about this chap? Maybe 5 or mm long, sitting on my windowsill.

Hi,

this is genus Onthophagus. I can't tell by this picture if it is O. similis, or O. fracticornis or O. nuchicornis.

Thanks for the ID.

That suggest it's a dung eater. There are a few sheep reasonably close by, but not much else. What would be its usual food?

Depends on the species. But they change so you can find them on different dung, regularly in those of horses, cows and sheeps.
