thanks for looking in and any assistnce you can give for i.d.
these guys keep turning up in my moth trap....im sure they are common but i dont have an insect book...at the moment...does anyone know of a good insect i.d. website for the more common species....??

It's an Ichneumon Wasp. Difficult group, but I think the insect featured is from a fairly small group of Ophioninae species, some of which being nocturnal and attracted to light. There are, as ever, similar-looking ones.
