Strange (huge) flying insect!
Hello,

I saw this insect by my pond yesterday and it made my jump as it was so big.

I have attached 2 pics as i had my phone in my hand at the time, please take a look and advise. It was approx 3" in length and width inc wings.

It had 2 sets of wings like a dragon fly, but was nothing like i have ever seen before.

It's a Broad-bodied Chaser - wish my phone could take pictures of insects in flight!

Cool - thanks )

Photo's came out OK. I was trying to keep my distance though as it was huge )

I have seen proper pics on google now and it was exactly what I saw!
