Hi came across this mass of (i presume ) young weevils today. can anyone id them please.

Yes, probably a shieldbug. Remember, young weevils are grubs! All beetles are adult and will never grow. |

I had a few clusters of these the other day on variuos plants. I identified mine as nymphs of Picromerus bidens, they looked very similar to the ones you have...
