| | | Can someone please ID these dragonfly? Hi there, I'm not very clued up on my insects.. But I took both of these pictures last year, and would love to know more about what they were - I've attempted to search but dragonfly pages confuse me real bad
Would appreciate if someone could help me out
First one was taken in may(ish) in the Peak District (I believe) after a sudden downpour - hence why it's sat on the path.
Second was taken in October(ish) and was taken on a frosty morning at Pagham, near Selsey. |

The first one is absolutely beautiful! Any idea if they're particularly common, or did I just get VERY lucky? |

They are fairly common locally in the north + west , but not one I see around London, though does occur on some of the Surrey heaths such as Thursley.
I've seen quite a few in the New Forest + quite a lot when I was in the Highlands a couple of years back. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
