Anthidium manicatum, a male and female by the looks. I'm insanely jealous of course.

Is there a reason for insanity / jealousy? Are they rare?

Am I correct to think the yellow one is the female and much less common?

I'm not sure how rare they are, but I haven't seen one! They are an interesting bee, I would welcome any different species in my garden. I need some more Lamb's Ears (had some years ago but it disappeared), maybe then I would stand a chance. It seems their distribution is more southerly with only localised populations as you go a little further north. More info on Wiki..
