| | | Re: Unknown bug ID Looks like one of the Oedemera flower beetles, I know it is not Oedemera nobilis male because they have obvious thick back legs which the females do not have. I would tend to think more Oedemera lurida or Oedemera virescens because it is a rather dull green colour and the wingcases look better fitting.
I'm hoping Klaas or Jason will pop on and tell me if this is correct lol

| | | Re: Unknown bug ID Thanks for that guys. Looking at pictures Oedemera virescens seems a lot greener than O. lucida. My bug when viewed in the flesh didn't show any sign of green. Not sure if that means anything!

| | | Re: Unknown bug ID Hi Nige,
forget about the colour. Both species are a little variable an colourdifferences are normally in the picture, but not in the beetle. Anzu and Jason are right in their opinion and right in not identifying the species. In the male it would be no problem, because O. virescens male do have thick hind femora, O. lurida not. This one on the photo could be a female O . virescens, but even a female O. lurida. Only a view of the last abdominal segment could give a chance to identify the species.
Regards
Klaas
