It's the first time I've seen these little cuties below! They were on the leaves of Meadowsweet, doing nothing much at all apart from sat sitting there, enjoying the sunshine!   
What are they?

Red and Black Froghopper - Cercopsis vulnerata. So you got half the name right!

I think they're lovely! I thought they were ladybirds when I first spotted them but as I got closer, I knew I was seeing something new - again! 
I can't help but marvel at the wealth of wildlife we have around us. It really is astonishing.
