Also there's a good chance you'll never see a Harlequin Beetle over here

| | | Re: Help please Yeah I think sometimes Google just picks out certain words, in your case just 'harlequin' and so even if you typed 'harlequin beetle' it might only focus on the one word and give you ladybirds as well.
Also Harlequin Ladybirds are very variable, I always find this picture helpful: Walton and District Allotment and Garden Society » Harlequin Ladybirds

This year I am regularly seeing a few 14 spot but they were very uncommon here previously. |
