Can someone identify???

Could someone please identify this insect if found flying around my sitting room.

I think it's in the Stilt-legged Fly family (Micropezidae). Browsing around the net, the closest looking fly I've seen is Neria ciberaria (which is about at the moment), one of the real fly experts here will probably be able to give you a proper ID.

thanks for that, will take a look. I had never seen a fly like this before, thought I had discovered a new species lol
