Help identifying a caterpillar
I found this caterpillar on the path in my back garden, i live in Kent, can someone help? No idea what plant to put it back on! Thanks

Hello Andrew,
It's the larvae of the Oak Eggar Moth. It feeds on almost anything, I have found them on Hawthorn, Heather, Sallow, Willow and a lot of other plants. Just release it wherever there is an abundance of different plants or shrubs. It will find something to eat very soon afterwards.

Many thanks, it certainly has an abundance of choice here, no wonder it is such an impressive caterpillar.
