| | | Bombus hypnorum Has anyone noticed an explosion in the population of these bees this year? We have a nest under the eaves of our house ( as suggested by eucera a few days ago! Thanks! ) and about 500 yards away there is a short bank of ceonothus that was covered in bees, 2/3 s of which were Tree bumblebees. It seems every bee I stop to look at this year seems to be one. |

| | | Re: Bombus hypnorum There have been LOTS or reports (I have over 400 records so far for the year). If anyone has any sightings at all, from anywhere in the country (or in Ireland), please send me the usual details so that I can database the findings and produce updated maps.
If anyone would like the latest BWARS information sheet, pm me a regular email address and I can mail you one
Cheers, and many thanks,

Just to let you know we had a [i]B. hypnorum[i]on the WAB trip to Goring on Saturday. Wild-Woman Jules can give you the details of the site.
Cheers,

Stuart | I'll do all this. They are the commonest bee species in our garden. I'll bee (groan ) in touch.
