A bit confused about the chestnut brown pronotum on this. All the ones I've seen before have been black.  |

That's quite ok. In Germany they got special names for these differences, like "baker" (brown pronotum with many white hairs), "chimney sweeper" (black pronotum) and others.

Klaas | Thanks Klass. I thought it was probably a colour variation, but everything I was seeing and reading said black. |

I hope you got me right that it is a colourvariation. I'm not quite sure yet by reading your answere. In Germany these colourvariations just got special vernacular names.
