Definitely Criomorphus, and I'll go with cf. albomarginatus (the other species are much rarer, anyway). The problem is you need either the face view (normally reliable) or a very close-up rear view (underside for a female) to be sure it's not williamsi. I agree completely on the determination of "cute", though.  |

Thanks Joe, if it wasn't on the ground amongst duck poo I might have been able to lay flat on the ground to get both ends!  Actually the duck poo was on the other side of the pond, but to get that low on pebbles in not easy and these things walk.
