Question Which bees are these?
Found these two lying motionless on my drive this evening beneath a bird box that they are nesting in, think they are the workers? not sure why they would be dying off so early in the year? I often see a swarm of them buzzing around the box and I am curious as to what type they may be, the box is around 5 metres up and the bees are around 10-12mm in length, many thanks for any help

They're the Tree Bumblebee, Bombus hypnorum.
