The hover is Merodon equestris. The weevil could be a Phyllobius - any further images could be useful.

The weevil (I put beetle then realised it was probably a weevil. Honestly  ) landed on someones arm. I took one photo and it was gone. It was in ancient woodland if that helps.
Is number 3 a sawfly?

It is hard to say, because of the bad quality of the photo, but the weevil could be possibly a Polydrusus. But this can be even wrong.

Thank you all for your help. I have looked at both suggestions for the weevil and I now know it is impossible to i.d. even if I had wonderful pictures  |

It is possible to identify on photos, but you need good photos and a lot of experience I don't have with these weevils.
