Brown Bathroom Bug

Hi, could anybody help with identifying this bug please?

We can't do much from that photo, Mike. It could range from various species of beetle to one of the 'imported' species of Cockroach, and with quite a lot of alternatives between.

Can you be a bit more specific and give some size guides.

This is definitely a beetle, looks like some Anobiidae species.

The range in size but the biggest are about 4mm long. They cluster around a sink pedestal which is on an external wall in our bathroom. They crawl around for a bit and then die.

Have a look for Stegobium paniceum. That's the most common Anobiidae in houses. If not this one you should try to make better photos, so I can see what beetle it is. But Anobiidae is for sure.

It looks like a Furniture Beetle (Anobium punctatum)
