| | | is this a hornet ? hello everyone new to site , in my kitchen today came across this guy, around 4cm and even though i have had in past severe allergic reactions to wasp stings, i felt i like to move this insect out of the house and into the garden without killing it, never seen anything like this before apart from smaller wasp types |

Although they are large, they are relatively docile, unless you really upset them. Easier to get along with than the Common Wasp. |
