| | | Re: Bug nymph Morning Toby,
What was the specific habitat? It sort of looks like a log-pile.
Take care, Jason

| | | Re: Bug nymph i guess its miridae, looks hairyish so could be psallus. It looks teneral though. Do you have any pics of the green ones? They maybe the same sps.

| | | Re: Bug nymph I think it is indeed a Psallus species, but there are many different ones, and even the adults are tricky (some needing dissection). Unfortunately, quite a few feed on oak. I'd leave it as Psallus? sp.

| | | Re: Bug nymph You see I edited my post? I removed my suggestion of Psallus! Glad to have agreement. Other than it's, albeit rather teneral, habitus, I find this genus to be about the most common Oak mirid found away from foliage. |

| | | Re: Bug nymph Well, varians would certainly fit, but I'd be a little cautious without the adult. I've never seen a nymph of Psallus quercus, for example, and I'm pretty sure some of the more common ones are also greenish. However, varians is probably the most likely, I agree. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
