| | Bee ID Required! Hi, I took this picture of a bee today. Not very large as bees go, around a cm. I assume its a solitary bee of some kind, but could be totally wrong!
Any help greatly appreciated.

| | | Re: Bee ID Required! Hi Scott. I'm no expert, but you might like to check this against Andrena cineraria, the Ashy Mining bee, and see if it marries up? ATB! |

Many Thanks

| | | Re: Bee ID Required! Well I doubt anything's really nailed from a single shot, and the experts always know what else is out there ready to dupe you! But Andrena cineraria is one of my favourite mining bees, very smart-looking, and the only other black and white bee around in my garden is the cuckoo bee Melecta albifrons, which is larger, say 13mm, and uglier/ scruffier-looking - but that's not exactly tech-talk, is it! |
