Hello all - just found one more un-id'd from yesterday! Is this a sawfly? It looks like a smaller version of the Rose Sawfly (Arge ochropus) but with the colours reversed. Can anyone shed any more light on it?   |

Either Eriocampa ovata or Eutomostethus ephippium.

It looks like one I have named Eutomostethus ephippium, check it on HYMIS in Tenthredinidae. Eriocampa ovata has a lot more black.

You can rely on this site, it's run by someone who knows his business. There is also a HYMIS forum with several experts for ID but I don't have time to do everything so many of my wasps remain unnamed.
