Found a may bug in the garden today in stourbridge, west midlands, didnt know what it was until looking on here. What a lovely creature. |

Hiya,
May bugs are adorable, I think I have a soft spot for them. I love how they grip onto your fingers with their hooked feet and scare people by crashing into things!

Haven't seen one of these for years  . They are lovely creatures, but used to really scare me as a child, as they used to crash into our windows. My cat at the time used to like to eat them too 
Would love to see one again. Funny really as back then we lived on the outskirts of a major town, but now we are out in the country, surrounded by open farmland (which is supposed to be their habitat), we don't see any.

This evening the laurel tree in my neighbours garden has dozens of may bugs flying around it. I have not seen so many for years, also four or five stag beetles also flying around. | | |
