| | | Nomada for ID check please Due to a spell of typical Bank Holiday wintry weather, I have been working through some of my unidentified specimens.
Most of the Nomada questionables appear to be N. ruficornis but I'm not sure about these two.
I'm thinking about Nomada fucata for the first and N. flava for the second but I find the Nomada family a bit tricky so I would appreciate a second opinion on these.
Both from S. Devon over the past couple of weeks. |

| | | Re: Nomada for ID check please Nomada fucata for the first one, it is only one of two UK species with the single yellow "dot" on the back of the thorax, the other is a mid-summer heathland species that lacks the red on Tergite 1 that you find on N.fucata.
The second one may well be N.flava, but from this phot probably the best that can be said is "Nomada sp." |

Sorry to hear about the weather!
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Nomada for ID check please Thanks for the help.
They are photos, Jason. Collecting actual specimens is something that I may have to do sometime with some species but at the moment I just take photos.
And the weather doesn't look too good for next week so I will probably catch up with most of my outstanding indoor jobs. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
