| | | Interesting unidentified bug. Found this interesting bug - it appears to have six legs as in an insect, and definate caterpillar characteristics. Slow moving, deep metallic blue sheen, with a grasping tail that gripped the grass stems it was walking across.
Any one able to identify it?

| | | Re: Interesting unidentified bug. Thank you the info - this, like my recent posting on the oil beetle, was found on the footpath of Clatworthy reservoir in Somerset. Each of three times walked round the reservoir over recent weekends we have found oil beetles. Strange that I had never seen them or this new bug/larvae before.
