| | | Beetle for ID I rescued this beetle from a spider's web a couple of days ago. Spent a long time with a cocktail stick and water to carefully remove the web from its body and legs. Kept it in a box during the day and released it yesterday. It flew off so I do not think it is too worse for the experience.
Now come the ID bit. Can anyone please help me with the species?
Thank you

You can count the "leaves" on the antennae to work out the sex.

| | | Re: Beetle for ID Hi,
you don't need to count the leaves. Leaves long as the ones on this photo tell you it's a male beetle. Females have got leaves of a length of one third of what your beetle shows.
Regards
Klaas
