insect id
Can anyone help me id these two flies?
there were taken on the somerset levels yesterday,i think the first one could be a horsefly.

thanks for the info , when it comes to horse flies all i know is how painful the bite is and the nasty side effects i seem to get! not an insect i would actively look for
