| | | Nomada ID attempt using previous thread - help please! Have been trying to use fascinating thread of a year ago Nomada goodeniana or not? [alive not pinned]
to try to ID a nomada female, which I think is one of the possibilities being debated by Janet, Stuart and Matt.
But I can't seem to reach a conclusion. Is it that the bee is none of the options under discussion? Or just that I can't do it? |

You did a good job of picking out the main features, the inner third of the tegula is visibly black too.
Janet

The hope you had that the thread of last year would prove educational for others certainly is the case...
even if a lot goes right over our heads without stopping!
And now I need to go and work out what's the inner third of the tegula...

ATB, Rhona | I'm pleased to see it has been of help!
Going over the top of your head, been there done that, lol! Eventually with a mountain of determination it will sink in as it flies past.
The tegula, the yellow bit where the wing joins to the body like a stud, has a black area on the inner part towards the middle of the thorax.
