Ground digging wasps - help!!

After we ID'd the Red Mason Bees in our garden and I am now leaving them buzz around where they are

we have some rather unwelcome residents:
We've read up about GDW's on the net but that's mostly american. So who has some experience with those wasps and how do we get rid of them please??

I have a lot of experience!

I would be pretty surprised if you have wasps at all at this time of year. What you have instead are most likely to be bees in the genus Nomada. Thse are cuckoos in the nests of ground nesting bees in the genus Andrena and are 100% harmless to you, children or pets.

Having them in your garden indicates a balanced garden ecosystem. Enjoy watching them, they are fascinating. It is worth noting that some of Britain's mega-rare bees are in the genus Nomada
