ID: Bee (Osmia?)


Had this on my window sill this morning but couldn't ID it. Looked like Osmia, and had the two "Horns" as described in Insects by Michael Chinery.

It is a female Osmia rufa (which should now be referred to as O. bicornis)

Cheers for that, Dunno how I didn't see it was that, doesn't look right in this book :s.

Why has it become Bicornis?

bicornis is an older name and has priority. rufa is a junior synonym
