| | | Andrena female with mite, or something worse? You'll see this bee had something under the edge of a tergite (is it called?) and seemed to be working quite hard at rubbing it with her hind legs. It looks a bit like the kind of mite that you see hitching a ride on a bumblebee, but is it? Thanks for any info! |

| | | Re: Andrena female with mite, or something worse? It's one of those pesky stylops! The male has enlarged calypters and uses them to fly to find a female which remains in the bee. You might have seen some I posted.
