| | | Beetle for ID I spotted this beetle on a silver birch trunk yesterday, at Kirkby Moor, Lincs. From memory it was longer than a 7-spot ladybird, but not by much (I didn't get the chance for a proper measurement).
Any help with ID appreciated. |

the habitus tells Triplax russica, the biggest and the most common species of this genus in Central Europe.

After Oxycera made the suggestion of Triplax, I took a look on NBN gateway and just two Triplax species have been found at that location - Triplax aenea and Triplax russica.
