| | | ID : Longhorn Beetle Hello,
I have attached some images of a metallic copper toned Longhorn Beetle species seen resting on the leaf of some Flag Iris along the Grand Western Canal in Devon this morning.
I am pretty poorly armed when it comes to Longhorn Beetle literature so can anyone advise me what this could be?
Also any recommendations for Longhorn literature as I expect to be seeing a few from now on!
Regards,
Andrew. |

| | | Re: ID : Longhorn Beetle There was an article on reed beetles in the British Journal of Entomology and Natural History in 1996 by I S Menzies and M L Cox. Might be of help if you can get a copy.

| | | Re: ID : Longhorn Beetle Thanks oxycera and Henry. I shall get in touch with the BENHS to see if I can get a back issue. It could be handy I could well see a few this year along the canal walks.

| | | Re: ID : Longhorn Beetle Ah, fantastic. Thanks a lot Klaas. It is good to have an identification for my local patch.
I have emailed BENHS to ask for a back issue of the article referred to above. Waiting for a reply during a working day I expect.
Cheers,
Andrew. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
