| | | Varied selection of insects from last summer to ID please Hello all, a varied selection all taken last summer. Cleaning up my files, getting ready for this year. Best pictures I have I am afraid... Getting them to genus level is fine and will give me a hand in insect ID (one of my weak points).
1.Beetle, taken in the lake district
2.Looks like one of the cuckoo bees to me? Taken in woodland Northamptonshire
3.Flesh-fly? woodland edge Northamptonshire.
Bees, Northamptonshire
4. 5.
6.No idea on the black insect here, my garden Northampton
Many thanks

| | | Re: Varied selection of insects from last summer to ID please Evening Johnny,
The third is indeed a Sarcophagid; they are all about bristle-placement and male genitalia, so microscope jobs really.
Take care, Jason | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
