Any idea what this is, i thought it was a marsh damsel bug but i think i'm wrong, is it some sort of larva?

The MDB is notably bigger. This is a wet-looking male Barkfly (but not a true fly!), Graphopsocus cruciatus - a very common species from a largely under-recorded group.
