Hi both and welcome to WAB.
I think you have one of the bee flies there, a splendidly named Bombylius major, a harmless insect despite its fearsome looks and one whose larvae feed on solitary bee and wasp larvae. |

I know it's a bit silly but I smile whenever I see one of these as I think the scientific name should be adopted as a new rank in the Army!  |
