| | Beetle Identification Hi, last time I as here I was asking about a large spider I found in my house, now its a beetle!
This fella was about 1cm in length and just sat happily on a bottle in my room, I took him outside though, doubt my rooms any place for a beetle to live hah.
So any idea what he is? I've never seen one like him before. I live in the North East of the UK.
Thanks!

| | | Re: Beetle Identification Hi,
genus Otiorhynchus normally is hard bread for an ID. In this case it is one of the easier species, called Otiorhynchus sulcatus or the so called Vine weevil.
Regards
Klaas

| | | Re: Beetle Identification Best check any houseplants you have - these vine weevils are insidious. They just crawl around and get into the pots and lay their eggs.
