| | | Hoverfly for ID This is my third hoverfly species of the yr, after Eristalis and Episyrphus balteatus. In a local wildlife garden today, at 9:30. This is the only shot where its wings were open, showing the abdominal patterns. It kept stopping on the ground and vibrating the wings in an unusual way.
