Insect to identify
Hi

This little chap (only 2.5 mm long, so apologies my kit can't get a better picture!) was walking around on my inside windowsill this morning. He very readily launches into flight and if I hadn't seem him settle I would have assumed he was a small fly.

Afternoon Fred, and welcome to WAB!

It's a species of Anthrenus, and could well be A. verbasci - the Varied Carpet Beetle. These are generally house-hold pests during larval stages, with the adults sometimes found around bird-nests or flowers, nectaring.
