| | | Countdown to the Odonates 2011 Well, I don't know about you lot but I'm just about sick of wet, cold and grey weather, so I'm cheering myself (and you lot ) up by planting the notion in your heads that it's NOT TOO LONG TO BEFORE THE DRAGONS ARRIVE!!
Just think, in 4 weeks time there's a remote possibility that the warmer parts of Blighty will see its first Large Red Damselflies!! Yay! Then the Hairies, then Blue Tailed.....we're off!
Excellent. Can't wait.
Anyone else desperate like me?

| | | Re: Countdown to the Odonates 2011 I'm TOTALLY desperate now. I keep trying to tell myself to savour every moment at this time of year, because so much is happening that only happens for a short time once a year. But my imagination keeps getting the better of me and jumping forward to warmer days.
The Dragonfly Trail at Amwell will be explored in depth this year. I discovered it towards the end of the last season. The fields there have a very good feel about them. It's the sort of place that's very much "alive" if anyone understands what I mean, as I'm not sure how I put that feeling that you get into words.

All the WAB meets, some days at Wicken Fen Dragonfly Centre, and what I hope will be a highlight - my July trip to the highlands for Azure Dragonfly, etc

Okay, two things...
Jules: we need a date for the club-tails at Goring and
Neil: we need a date for more tank photography in March.
