| | | Trapping woodlice Does anyone know a good easy way of catching large numbers of woodlice? I know there are many living in my compost bin but is there some kind of trap or particular bait to catch them? |

| | | Re: Trapping woodlice Evening T,
Whatt do you need large numbers for? It may help with suggestions.
Log-turning is one.
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Trapping woodlice Why do you want to trap the woodlice living in your compost bin? After feeding on the dead plant matter they recycle the nutrients back into the soil. They're also eaten by a range of insectivores. |

I used to keep them as pets, many years ago. Fascinating beasties.

| | | Re: Trapping woodlice Aaactually I have a large live planted vivarium for my pair of crested geckos. Woodlice do a great job of clearing up after them (and also as a self sufficient food source). I have some tropical woodlice and springtails in there already and a few native woodlice. I would just like to add to their numbers. |

Half a dozen of those in the pan, Mmmmm. Ligia thermador. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
