| | | New Hopper recording website Just to tell you all about the launch of a new recording scheme website for leafhoppers and allied insects (Auchenorrhycnha) which can be found at www.ledra.co.uk
The website provides a focus for the increased interest in this group and is intended to stimulate wider recording of Auchenorrhyncha in Britain and Ireland. It contains a lot of information that should help you to find out more about this fascinating group of insects, including: identification keys to families; a checklist of species; species that have recently been recorded in Britain for the first time; BAP species; habitats in which to search; collecting techniques; how to start recording; a standard recording form; provisional maps; literature; photos; newsletters; and much more.
Thanks for looking and hoping some of you will get involved.
Cheers
Tristan

| | | Re: New Hopper recording website Afternoon Tristan,
Yes, I saw this site advertised some time back. I got the email last night and looked; I'll fill-in the recording form soon and submit.
Thanks for the post.
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: New Hopper recording website I have bookmarked the site. But the recording form is in an Excel format so I won't be able to access it. |

| | | Re: New Hopper recording website This is very nice to have, keenly awaiting the on-line recording bit .
Been having a browse around, and notice no Ledra aurita records in 100km square SK, but have had one to light in the garden, and I think others have recorded them in the Nottingham area.
Note, to self, time to get all those 2010 records finished. |

| | | Re: New Hopper recording website Um... other than the first page that introduces the website and the first Newsletter, is there a button somewhere to enter it? I realise it's of course a work-in-progress, but just curious.
I was interested in the Collecting Techniques you mention Tristan. Will this include mounting? |

It's most likely my Linux netbook running the Opera browser. I viewed the source and got the individual links where they form the menu, that way.
Very nice from what I've seen |
