Spider ballooning - actual point of take-off
Stony Stratford, Bucks.

This pic shows the actual moment of take-off.

Actually I remember taking this pic and mentally doing a double take when the next instant the spider vanished! You can see that most of its legs are off the ground and its silk has caught the wind.

Apart from watching web construction I dont have much interest in spiders, but a cracking photo like that certainly generates my interest - thanks
