Exclamation Miridae: 'Dicyphus pallidus' pointers needed
Morning all,

Happy New Year!

What is it that characterises Dicyphus pallidus? I've put the latter into the NBN which redirects to epilobii - so is pallidus a synonym of epilobii, or is the one in question a distinct, non-British species? Curious...

Hi Jason,

I've replied to your email and also sent you a draft key you might find useful.

D. pallidus is a distinct species and is a recent arrival in Britain - but not seen it yet myself so can't tell you a great deal.

Look out also for D. escalerae on antirrhinums, another recent colonist which is not in Southwood & Leston
