| | | Red eyed Psyllid Northants garden 4th June 2010.
I thought maybe the Boxwood Psyllid ( Psylla buxi) although I have no boxwood in my garden? Identification has never been my strong suit so would appreciate help from our experts:

| | | Re: Red eyed Psyllid Thought I'd bump this one time before it went off page in the hope that one of our Psyllid experts might be able to help with identification.

| | | Re: Red eyed Psyllid Hi Bruce, Psylla buxi it do indeed be - well done! Must just have been passing through, I guess - it's such a common shrub that one of your neighbours probably has some.
I've recently relocated to China, but will still be checking on here every now and then for more hoppy things.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Red eyed Psyllid China eh Joe......that sounds really exciting (trying not to be nosey ). Certainly I would love to do a tour of China - amazing photo opportunities I would imagine. Hopefully I'll get there one day.
Anyway Joe, thanks for confirming ID for me - much appreciated as always.

Cheers, Joe | Excuse me for earwigging but your comment on more hoppy things reminded me of Tsingtao and my old mate over there, John Studley who is practising ethno forestry. Should you ever come across him, please give him best wishes from Banstead. |

It's unlikely, though, as I'm here to do research on fossils for two years - my wife and I have gone back to post-doc land after years of trying to fit it in around full-time jobs. Hopefully we'll see a bit of the country while we're here, though - it is a fascinating place.
Cheers,
