The provisional atlases produced by Biological Records Centre/CEH are available for free download as .pdf files at
Title matches "Provisional atlas of the" (Ignoring: "the", "of") - NERC Open Research Archive
Provisional atlases are never completely up-to-date but several of these are fairly recent publications and all of them include useful/interesting species information.

Only provisional atlases?
By the time they are published no distribution atlas is completely up to date (and this is even more true for groups that don't have a large "following" because absence may mean nothing more that the area hasn't been surveyed adequately, and invertebrate colonies can potentially be lost to "development", immediately after they are discovered).

Thanks for posting that link Paul - the recent provisional altases for aculeate Hymenoptera are excellent.
