| | | Queen wasp I recently discovered a queen wasp hibernating in the curtains in my front room of all places. It was evicted once already and has now turned up in my kitchen looking sorry for itself. I dont really rate its chances much with the temperatures atm so i put it under a cup in the dark with a little bit of sugar water. It was very groggy and i hoped it migth just go back to sleep but several hours later its now flapping its wings and moving about. Any ideas as to what i can do with it? I would prefer not to kill it, my original idea was to booti it out around april time. |

| | | Re: Queen wasp In that case, I would release it outside in a sheltered area, any woodland local to you?. Not a lot else you can really do. |

| | | Re: Queen wasp Hi Zippy,
Try and find a wall or tree trunk with a thick coat of ivy, she’s built to withstand the cold, just needs a little protection from frost and predators.
