ID help, please - big fly, & Rhopalid bug?
Hi, all.

Would appreciate help with ID on this fly, photographed mid-October at Englefield, near Reading:




Also, ID confirmation - I think this bug is Rhopalid bug Corizus hyoscyami? Photographed same location, late August.

Big fly is a muscid,Mesembrina meridiana.
Agree with bug.

Extra info for recording purposes: both insects seen in organic market garden adjacent to parkland (wood pasture).
