ID pls for leggy yellow bulbous-eyed fly thing
Watching mining bees on ivy flowers today I noticed an ugly-looking little insect I can't remember seeing before, and wondered if someone wld be kind and say what it is. Standing on tiptoes, though, so not very good shots, and then it seemed to leap out of view...

Looks like a Scathophaga species (dung fly), possibly Scathophaga stercoraria?
